Never-ending New York-ness!

You nosy ones have probably already figured that I had spent my last 2 weekends in New York City in a row. I know it wasn't too long ago when I had my last trip to the city.

The 1st weekend - My best friend Tedi visited moi from Oregon! We have been best friends ever since those tough cold months in Beijing. With her crazy trip in Vegas and the super weird cold but sunny New England weather, I am proud to say we had yet covered a lot of places in Boston!

Duck tour, Government Center, Faneuil Hall, Quincey Market, Harvard Square, MIT, Newbury Street (3 times caz I live so close haha)...

Stephi's is the sister restaurant of Stephanie's on Newbury but 10 times better. My friends constantly go back to this place for their steaks. Since Tedi and I just had snacks on Newbury right before dinner (Poor choice we know...), we split the scallop dish which was cooked perfectly! Desserts were really good too!
fudgy brownie bread pudding with hot fudge, crème anglaise and
vanilla ice crea
apple cobbler - with oatmeal streusel topping and vanilla ice cream
As we are eating dinner with my friends, madly insane how everyone agreed to come to drive to New York City with us! We left literally 2 hours from dinner LOL we even passed by Foxwoods Casino on the way. Leaving Boston at 11pm, Casino at 4am, we died when we got to New York City at 7am!! We have made it with a full day schedule!

Central Park, Fifth Ave, Soho, MOMA, Times Square, Little Italy, Chinatown, Battery Park for Statue of Liberty!

Our trip ended so soon as we had so much fun traveling together! Hope to catch her in California in May <3

The 2nd weekend in New York City was a plan my friends and I had planned for quite a long time ago. One of our friends was originally going to come visit from San Diego but he was not able make it. While couple other friends are working and interning in the city, we decided to still get together :)

On Friday, I decided to come early last minute (again! lol) to see a friend. The hotel was excellent. My favourite part was the circle light mirror in the bathroom. That thing is the sh*t! Why? Because I found out it's anti-fog after taking a mad long shower. Bitach I got dolled up without a doubt!

On Saturday I went to Ippudo for lunch before meeting up with other friends! Not sure if you have heard about it but Ippudo has always had the longest waiting lines... simply because they really offer the best ramen on earth! The ones I have had in Japan can't even beat this!
65 Forth Avenue
Akamaru Modern
The original tonkotsu' soup noodle with Ippudo's special sauce, pork belly chashu, cabage, kikurage, scallions, miso paste & fragrant garlic oil

Best ramen (literally!) I have had in my life! Indulged in the rich meat flavored broth, every bite of the heavenly in house made chewy elastic fresh ramen was so delicate! SO GOOD!!!!

Then my friends and I met up and we went to SOHO to shop around. It was tooo crowded so we went back to her apartment to take naps (much needed!!) At night we went to this Chinese owned Japanese Restaurant called Azuki then to this bar called Pianos. It was a lot of fun with tons of inside stories that might not be very appropriate to tell here :P
I looked soooo gross-_-

Anyway on Sunday we went to this place that my friend Alex had talked about ALL weekend long that he found on this website called iheartbrunch.com LOL food was soso but the view overlooking Empire State Building was amazing! On the roof top of a building, they also provide red ropes which look and function 85% like snuggies. Oh we look so cute in it!

So much fun!!! It's always great to see old friends :) But now I am back in Boston tired and feeling old fml.

Oh and don't forget to check out Tedi's blog! She is super sweet and knows a lot about makeup! She just started her blog on blogspot and please show her some blogger love just like what you have been giving me!
